This play is intense from the moment it starts. It tackles a difficult subject and makes you question yourself as to what you would do in that situation. There are moments when you want to look away but cant because you want to see what happens.

The acting was superb and all four characters were very believable. I came away feeling like I had seen a spectacular piece of drama and was thinking about it for days afterwards - I would definitely recommend it but hurry as I believe its ending this week.

I will certainly be keeping an eye out for their next production......Well done!

“I was recently in London and came to the Tabard to see ‘Extremities’. It is a stunning and important piece of theatre.
The show was so powerful and moving - it haunted me for days afterwards. There were some spine tingling performances and I went through a whole spectrum of emotions as the story unfolded and was resolved."

this production deserves the multitude of plaudits it's receiving. a very powerful piece of writing expertly brought to life. this is what theatre is about - you don't really want to see a near rape, do you? or do you? you can't help yourself. the moment you sit down and the lights dim you are immersed in this terrifying situation - you're no longer a voyeur but a participant in the argument. i can't recommend this production enough. superbly directed and brilliantly acted. congrats to epsilon.

Completely absorbing, with brilliant performances from the cast, particularly from the two leads. My heart was in my throat from the outset and the production as a whole, including the extremely emotive ending, does this script real justice. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

Karen McMillan

I sent one of my friends along to Extremities and here's what she said:

'Extremities was great. Made for really meaty post-show discussion. I can absolutely understand how a situation can snowball so quickly under such conditions. In fact, I reckoned I probably would have reacted quite similarly to Marjorie, which gave me much to chew on for the rest of the evening. It was really well played by everyone in the cast – they managed to steer clear of melodrama and were just very relatable. And the guy who played the rapist, considering he had his eyes covered for pretty much the whole performance, was brilliant. The way he moved was just terrifying, even when he was confined. It was really great to see something in a smaller theatre for a change. Massive congrats to your mates – it really was brilliant – and thanks for recommending it!'

A frighteningly realistic fight encapsulates a deeply harrowing opening scene and, once underway, I didn't catch my breath until the curtain call. I thought the two leads had excellent chemistry - once aboard the John Schumacher Express only the mite of Angela Bull's performance could match him. The brilliant supporting cast complete a flawless production - what a great night!

A truly stunning piece of Theatre. The entire cast shine in this fantastic production which does true justice to Mastrosimone's writing. One of the best pieces produced on the Fringe for years.
